Untitled (Sisyphus’ Bridge) 2009
Plywood, Timber, Clay. 2.4m x 2.3m x 0.6m

Each stair on this staircase features a different combination of rise and run dimensions that fall under the ‘golden rule’ for stair making. This pieces references ideas within the Greek Myth of Sisyphus and human physiology. The clay ball from the video work To Roll is positioned on the highest run of the staircase.
